The characters are so well written, the plot has so many twists and turns it keeps you guessing right to the end, then just when you think its over there is another twist.
This is a thriller and a half, each chapter is from the perspective of one of the main chacters, it gradually leads you up to and through a murder investigation, as well as telling underlying past events of the characters involved.
You get characters who have lived in the area all their lives, characters that work in the area, and those that are returning back to the area after a few years of abscence. This gives a great connection between the characters, and i think is key to what makes this story work so well.
This is the third part of a trilogy, i have read it as a stand alone. Apart from a few references to events from previous books, it can be read as a stand alone. I now really do need to go and get the other two books.
Would definitely recommend this book.
